Marten River Provincial Park

Beautiful Fall Colours and Flatwater Kayaking at Marten River Provincial Park

Parked and put in at the beach in XX Campground, Marten River Provincial Park

Over the course of my Northeastern Ontario road trip, I had very few flatwater kayaking opportunities as there were heavy winds for most of my journey, although I did get to paddle once at Marten River Provincial Park!

At this point in my voyage, the leaves had only just started their change from green to the glory of autumn.

It was a (mostly) perfectly calm and warm day. I kayaked against the current for a few hours and took a short snack break on a sandy shoal.
