Rustic Cabin Getaway on Irrigation Lake, Kettle Lakes Provincial Park

The ultimate Ontario Parks glamping experience is found at Kettle Lakes Provincial Park. Stay in a rustic solar-powered cabin overlooking Irrigation Lake with your own private beach down a small hill.

Cabin 200 was pictured in the late afternoon light when I arrived at Kettle Lakes for my glamping stay.

Putting the Irrigation Lake access into perspective.

Take a tour inside Cabin 200: an off-grid, solar-powered roofed accommodation by Ontario Parks.

I watched a family of loons – I didn’t have the heart myself to paddle on the lake and disturb them.

The Official Kettle Lakes Greeter.

Possibly the fox’s dinner-to-be, a grouse.

Sunset and a few stars. The moon was bright, so I had great nights for stargazing, but not star photography.

Sunrise over the trees and Irrigation Lake.

My last photos of Cabin 210, leaving and locking the gate behind me.

I would absolutely stay here again.
