Fields of Dreams: If you cook it, they will come.

The only downside to travelling alone is that there is half as much food to photograph. No matter – the journey from Kingston to North Bay had a satisfying end at Fields of Dreams.

I sat at the picnic tables, pondering my choices and asking locals what their favourite meals were.

In the end, I settled on a burger and deep-fried pickles with a twist.

Look at that platter.

This burger more than satisfied me. The hangry situation was averted.

Deep-fried Pastry Wrapped Pickle & Avocado slice with Dill Sauce.

Cheeseburger with the crispiest bacon I’ve ever eaten.
