Soaring Views of Two Castles with 1000 Islands Helicopters

It was a hot day. The haze was hanging in the air, but oh, the clouds were so fluffy, the sky was the bluest blue and when you’re way up there with 1000 Islands Helicopter? You’re without care!

Ready for lift-off!

Once Aaron, our helicopter pilot for the tour, took off, the weather down there didn’t seem to matter anymore – we were surrounded by various shades of emeralds, turquoise and sapphire blues.

For our second time in the air, we chose Aerial Views & Seaway Hues. A 30-minute tour takes you over the Ivy Lea bridge & 1000 Islands Tower, Boldt Castle, Grenadier Island, Singer Castle and more! I had two cameras in my lap so that in between the wide and super-wide lenses, I’d capture as much of the landscape that we would be flying over.

The weather and wind were pretty smooth the entire way, with a few bumps here and there, so without further ado, here are some of my favourite shots from the flight over the St.Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands.
