The beauty of the 1000 Islands is a view that many people seek out when coming to Ontario, and travelling along the St. Lawrence River and up to the Skydeck of the 1000 Islands Tower is no exception!
Springing to Life
The bare trees, evergreens and green grass, blue skies and, deep sapphire, glittering water all come together beautifully. Every time I take in the view from the tower, I have a new appreciation for the 1000 Islands!
More Thousand Islands Adventures
I’ve been up in the summer, but the springtime is altogether a truly spectacular view!
The deciduous trees are still bare at this time of the year, but the conifers are bright, bright green. With the lack of foliage, the view is unimpeded.
The shapes of the islands are clear through the tree silhouettes. The water is still a cold and striking blue, but the clarity that comes with winter freezing is quickly disappearing.
Don’t forget to lose yourself in the gift shop (and grab an ice cream!); there is so much to choose from, great treasures and souvenirs to remind yourself of the beauty you discovered here.
